I love myself some jewellery. Especially when it has emotional value or a story behind it. For example, I have a bracelet that I got for my 18th birthday and then I have a zodiac sign necklace that I bought as a gift for myself on my 21st birthday. I just love that, and recently I have added a new piece to the collection.
A necklace by the company Names4Ever. You can buy jewellery with your name on it, friendship jewellery etc. etc. But I opted for something different. A necklace with a lyric on it from one of my favourite songs. The necklace says ‘Fly on’ with a little music note in front of it. The lyric is from the song ‘O’ by Coldplay. And as you all must know by now, I absolutely love Coldplay. This necklace is so special to me. It symbolizes my love for music and of one of my favourite songs of all time.
The necklace is really delicate and thin, which makes it really pretty. It is also real silver. I really really like it. I could have gone for my name, but I feel like this makes way more sense. The song, O, is one of those Coldplay songs that you can give your own meaning to. When you listen to the lyrics, it’s not immediately clear what it is about. And everyone has other opinions and views on what the song means. I love that so much.
For me, it is about losing someone and hoping to see that person again one day in heaven. It’s about moving on and finding comfort in the fact that everybody eventually has to move on.
